History

Government Millennium Polytechnic Chamba was established by the State Govt in year 2007 with 2 trades Computer Engg and Electronics and Communication Engg. Initially three diploma engineering courses in  Computer Engineering , Civil Engineering and  Mechatronics  Engineering are running with annual intake of 40 each for Computer & Civil and 30  for Mechatronics.

The duration of each engineering diploma course is three years to be covered in six semesters. The courses are approved from All India Council of Technical education (AICTE) and affiliated with HP Takniki Shiksha Board. The first batch from this institute passed out in June 2010. The Institute campus is being established on a total 52.5 bighas of land at Sarol.The Classes are being run in the newly built Administrative cum Academic building inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister on 31st July 2011.

This Polytechnic is imparting three year diploma courses in the emerging areas of technology viz. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. In July 2023 new Trade “MECHATRONICS” first and only institute in H.P. with intake of 30 students has been started by Govt. of H.P. Playground is  available for  games like Badminton , table Tennis etc. An Administrative Block incorporating conference hall, common rooms for staff, well furnished guestroom are available. Well laid out playfields for the games like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Kabaddi etc. is also available
